Jennifer has a seasoned, authentically unhurried austerity. Exquisitely dry and yet the performance breathes easily.  -Kevin Corrigan

TINA FEY COMPARISONS

I do sympathize with Prediger’s character right away, who’s dealing with ageism in Tinseltown where 40 is considered ancient. There’s a certain Tina Fey’s vibe about her and it’s not because she has dark hair & wears glasses. -Flixchatter on HOLLYWOOD FRINGE

We are left to wonder whether this is reality or performance or a clever mix of both, and the filmmakers leave it to the audience to decide which. That’s to the good. Also to the good is Prediger, who has just enough of an edge to be interesting, but not so much as to be unlikable. She has some real screen presence and has a good deal of potential, kind of like a poor man’s Tina Fey.

REASONS TO SEE HOLLYWOOD FRINGE: Prediger has some real potential.

Jennifer Prediger and Jess Weixler are the modern indie Odd Couple. In their feature filmmaking debut, which they also star in, Apartment Troubles, they serve up the chemistry of a classic buddy comedy with a dash of Diane Keaton charm and Tina Fey heightened humor. - Meredith Alloway, PASTE Magazine

RICHARD'S WEDDING

Jennifer Prediger and Darrill Rosen, in larger roles, are loose and rooted, and they give the film what structure it has. - NY Times

FIRST GIRL I LOVED

"The film climaxes with a beautifully played-out confrontation that also includes comedian Tim Heidecker’s wearily pragmatic school counsellor and a colleague played by Workaholics super-goof Erik Griffin. But even those two are quietly outrun by Jennifer Prediger as an assistant principal all too ready to cede her authority inside a Gordian knot of clashing sensitivities."-Straight.com

LIVING ROOM COFFIN

"I want to highlight the performance of female lead Jennifer Prediger who is superb and carries this flick from the opener to the closer. She really got me into the movie with her effortlessly dry portrayal of Iris Hawthorn whilst also hitting every comedic beat on cue. Jennifer had me laughing one moment and feeling pretty somber the next only to pick me right back up. Make no mistake this is Jennifer’s movie..." -365 Flicks Podcast

Excerpt from the Novelization of Uncle Kent 2 by L.P Eaves

--at least one shining idea flashed comet-like across the screen: Jenny Prediger!
Yes, Jenny Prediger, the embodiment of brains and beauty for a starved generation of mumbling poets. “She’s a home-loving girl, but she loves high society’s whirl. She loves the Army but her heart belongs to the Navy.”
Such old-fashioned encomiums to “Miss Turnstiles” Uncle Kent’s belching neighbor might have recognized from the musical extravaganza On the Town. Quaint, you might say. But every generation gets the Miss Turnstiles it deserves, and if Jenny Prediger spoke for this present generation, high its standards flew indeed. -L.P. Eaves

UNCLE KENT

"...the real star of the film’s cast is the character of Kate, played so wonderfully by Jennifer Prediger. A film so inherently focused on its relationships, she is one of the few truly believable characters within this film. She is in a relationship with another man, which may make what subsequently happens turn her into something of a narrative pariah, there is a sense of truth that is derived from this really engaging and truthful performance."-Gordon and the Whale

"Most props go to Jennifer Prediger who plays the female lead, Kate. Prediger presents Kate as just sexy enough to be infuriating; it's a marvelous performance and, with luck, we'll see her in more films.  We're so used to quirky, nutty girls objectified by the camera, with whom it is impossible not to fall in love. Kate is, put bluntly, a nightmare. She is precisely the reason I'm glad I'm not dating anymore. She's immature, completely unpredictable and, just when you are sure that you are at least going to score after putting up with all her squawk: no entry." -Jordan HoffmanUGO.com

"As for Prediger, Swanberg has a decent track record finding female talent (he discovered "Greenberg" co-star Greta Gerwig), and she certainly has potential, despite this underwritten first role." -Peter Debruge, Variety

"When Kate (Prediger) tells Kent to “write on my [Facebook] wall” instead of saying goodbye, it’s a pure Swanbergian moment, delivered without a trace of irony."-Eric Kohn, Indiewire

Swanberg: I usually start with one person who I want to work with, in this case it was Kent, and then my radar goes up for people who might be good to enter his orbit. Jennifer Prediger is someone who I have been trying to work with for quite a while. We met several years ago and I liked her and thought she might be good in something, and this was finally the movie where it made sense to work with her. It’s hard to say what it is exactly that I’m looking for when I find people who I want to work with. I’m probably picking up on eagerness and ambition. I’m probably getting a vibe from people that they are productive and energetic and willing to work. -Joe Swanberg,Director, Uncle Kent Interview Filmmaker Magazine

Jennifer Prediger must certainly be lauded as a SXSW Muse with successive appearances in films that have graced the prestigious film festival including 2015’s “Uncle Kent 2” and 2016’s “Rainbow Time”. In 2017 she is starring in the comedy “Infinity Baby” which tells of babies who don’t age. This screwball funny flick sees her amping up the zaniness alongside Kieran Culkin, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally. She’s steadily becoming an inspirational figure of independent cinema for her endeavors as an actress, director and writer. Her gregarious nature and exceptional flair onscreen is genuinely memorable. -GornoBlonde

--one of my favorite indie actresses, Jennifer Prediger. If you are a fan of independent cinema but don’t recognize her name you may know her as that pretty, very funny, risk-taking actress in glasses in the films of Joe Swanberg, Alex Karpovsky, Karl Jacob, and, most frequently, Onur Tukel.
